I absolutely loved 'Lightning Strikes'. The storyline pulled me in from the beginning and did not let go. I literally could not put it down. I loved the humor throughout. I laughed out loud quite a few times. The characters were a great cast of humorous personalities. Andromeda is so damn funny. I loved her character. And Nana, she is hysterical. The way the story played out was thrilling. I can not wait to read more in this series. After reading Theresa Parker's work, I will definitely read more from her. An awesome add to your tbr list. Definitely recommended.

Needs editing for sentence structure and flow. Needs proofreading, as there are many wrong words/wrong tense/odd punctuation errors. Needs to be longer in length to develop more plot interest. Despite these issues, the book still proved to be an entertaining read.

I liked the characters, enjoyed the paranormal abilities of the Heroine and her family, and got a real kick out of the poor cat. The humor was infectious, the banter between characters was engaging, and the romance was cute. YA appropriate, no strong language or sex.

3-3/4 Stars--a quick and easy read.

I was really enjoying this story. It was funny and kept my attention and I didn't want to put it down until I got done with it and then I got to the end of the book and the story just ended. I don't know if there is going to be another book to continue the story or what. I was really disappointed. If you are starting a series and going to continue the story instead of wrapping it up into a wonderful story with a wonderful ending then you need to let people know ahead of time.

-Now that I know for sure that there is another book continuing the story, I am changing my stars to 5 stars instead of 4. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because at that time we didn't know if there was going to be another book to continue the story or not. This book was wonderfully written and held my attention throughout the whole story. It is hard to believe that this is her first book. She writes like an experienced writer. I look forward to the next book in this series.

I really like this book. I like paranormal stories as long as they are of the psychic variety and not werewolf/vampire/ shapeshifter variety. I'm looking forward to the next book, to see what Rommy gets into next and what happens between her and Cavanaugh. And I have a sneaky suspicion that Antoine will show up again at some point. (But once again, four stars instead of five because of the grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors...sigh.)

I read the sample chapters of Lightning Strikes and from the first three chapters alone, I thought it would be a story I would like and I did. I love the lead character, Andromeda Spencer and I hope I'll be seeing more of her in other stories to come. I also loved the supporting characters: Rommy's family, her friend Kelli, Detective Johnson and of course Pollini, the narcoleptic cat. I also loved the humour of the story. That's why I love the stories of Wilkie Collins and Raymond Chandler: they're stories with plenty of exciting moments happening in them, but they also have humour.

If there's any 'criticism' I have to make, it's mainly the odd spelling and grammar mistake, but they're few and far between. But I absolutely loved the story and I hope there's going to be a paperback version of it available? E-books are good, but nothing beats having a physical paperback book in your hands.
